It's a great engine at the minute, dirt cheap for decent base engines, dead easy to do a decent porting job and although you won't make as much power (obviously! there are only 8 of everything instead of 16, which does lower modifying costs! It's nice and torquey too, really has some lowdown grunt. Just in the process of fitting one to my brothers manta actually, to replace the wheezy old CIH engine in the 1978 coupe!
