davehall
I want to change the mechanical fuel pump on my xflow with twin 40's, but I'm not sure whether to go the solid state route or otherwise. It seems to me that the solid state type should be more reliable but looking at Facet pumps they are cheaper so, thinking logically ( for a change! ), the other type must be better. Any views? stu999
Save some money - a solid state pump will be fine... Don't forget that you highly likely to need a pressure regulator too (fit the reg as close to the carbs as you can). HTH Stu.
Dave Smith
Hi Dave, I have a new/un-used Facet Red Top pump sitting in my garage that I could let you have for say £50. PM me if you're interested
Terry Everall
That'll need a Filter King regulator to go with it
Dave Smith
That's very true Terry, but I don't have a spare one of those!
