Insurance was fairly limited as I am only 21, a lot of company’s simply would not quote me. However I did quite a bit of searching and the following are all the specialist kit car insurance company’s I could find. Whilst over half wouldn’t touch me with a barge pole… I am sure most of you old boys will be ok. Each quote was based on the following, 2001 Westfield 1800 Zetec on Jenvey Throttle bodies, 150BHP, Fully Comp, limited 3k mileage, 21year old, self-employed, Garaged, 3 Years driving, no no-claims bonus. Main thing is here’s all the phone numbers. Sure Term Direct – 0870 202 0230 – Quoted me £596, ended up going with this company. Footman James – 0845 458 6782 – Quoted me £655 MSM – 01279 870 535 – Quoted me £716 Osborne & Sons – 020 8388 6000 – Quoted me £880 Adrian Flux – 0870 077 7888 - £1000ish Graham Sykes – 0870 444 6319 - £1200ish HIC – 0845 121 2212 - £1200ish Tesco – 0845 300 9900 - £2900, Girl wondered why I was laughing so much… Green Light – 08707 53 54 55 – would not quote, 5k max vehicle value for a 21 year old. Road Sure – 0870 499 0333 – would not quote, 22+ only. Marlow – 01543 675 163 – would not quote, 25+ only. Blackford Bloor – 0151 356 8776 – would not quote, 25+ only. Egger Lawson – 0115 941 5255 – would not quote, 25+ only. Glynwood – 01543 675 163 – would not quote, 25+ only. Heritage – 0121 246 6060 – would not quote, 25+ only. CIC – 01206 792927 – would not quote, 25+ only. Gott & Wynne – would not quote 30+ only!!! If any one knows of any I have missed they may like to add details here. Graham. I've never used them or had a quote from them, but I have heard some good reports. A Google or Yell search should frind them easily enough.
