Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Good show, the engineering bit is getting bigger with some interesting stuff in it. Didn't bother with the Live Action, it's just pants. As Barney says you can see that any Sat night The new Westies with a 2" dropped floor is a good idea, lowers the seat well, but don't go over a big bump Quote
zoso Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I remember in previous years having to sign half of my life away to get a ticket for the trade day. I'm a motorsports engineering student, and our uni was there, so i'm allowed. This year we got free tickets, which was nice, so i didnt have to go through the hassle.. But from the hoards (is it a hoard or a gaggle) of chavs that were roaming, they apparently let anyone in now.. However i liked seeing the new juno being unveiled, although Ewan showed me the pre painted pics on wednesday... but it is pretty. Loved the group C cars.. and all the engineering bits were worth a look too.. I enjoyed it, but less chavs next year please, and throw the bass box bo**ocks out too. Quote
Mark Stanton Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I particularly thought the Toyo Tyres stand had a superb display of cars I'll get me coat Quote

Rob Navin Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Mark I was very impressed to see your car... Its the first time I have ever seen it clean, I take it that they cleaned it for you as well. Are Toyo's now going to be legal in Class A ? Quote
Major Stare Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 It was good to see the WSCC guys in the bar, Rob, Ian, Paul, Mark, Johno etc etc Had to leave the bar early to watch the worst Live Action show they have ever done. Only the Rally cars were of ANY interest, no crowd participation whatsoever. Some good stands this year with car manufactures on display and plenty of goodies to buy, BUT, why o' why do they have companies like KROOZIN and AUTOWORLD wher you can buy car sterio's, neon exhaust trims & gearknobs.....wrong stands at wrong show! Having said that.... i bought nothing Good to see Dickie's & Marks car on show Quote
greeny Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Has anyone taken any pictures of the new Duratec S yet? Was going to go but I'm stuck at uni finishing coursework. Quote
Mark Stanton Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Are Toyo's now going to be legal in Class A ? Only for old burgundy cars so many classes to choose from A, E or G decisions, decisions I'll let you know later Sorry Mark, but missed it completeley was it being dazzled by the shiny glare or just short sighted and more interest in looking at lycra and lace Quote
barney Posted January 15, 2005 Author Posted January 15, 2005 Mark ,it was probably the glare from the lights off your bodywork..... see the autoglym elves had been busy ps how do you get it down from up there ? Quote
XTR2Turbo Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Agree live action was the worst ever. Don't bother attending. Some photos below (not mine but good link) http://www.gravynet.com/autosport/24.htm David Quote
Mark Stanton Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 see the autoglym elves had been busy ps how do you get it down from up there Spent last weekend with a tub of mer and tube of autosol in hand - the silencer looks sweet just a pity its against the wall The cars were delivered last Tuesday and "craned" into position - and they've gotta be "craned" off on Monday morn I might keep the graphic scheme for 2005 ? budgie Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Once you have been to 'live action arena' you never need to go again ---ever. Quote
