nlash Posted January 3, 2005 Author Posted January 3, 2005 Might be worth having a look at the company featured in last club magazine Never used em myself - but might be worth talking to at least Thanks Mark, I spotted that in the mag but had already got P&M on the case by then. Gonna stick with it now, not got time to chop and change as with group bookings you gotta be quick. Better the devil you know an all that. Quote
nlash Posted January 7, 2005 Author Posted January 7, 2005 I have received the quote back from Page & Moy for single occupancy of a vehicle. Bearing in mind that most operators will charge the total price of 2 sharing a car even if there is only one driving then the following is reasonable IMO Single occupancy - £265 + £45(General admission ticket) for 6 nights as previously described in the thread Quote
jamie Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Hi Guys I ordered my tickets form the aco and haven’t received what I ordered Houx annex; they have given me the offer of Beausejour. Blatman said a week ago that he had mates went there last year and enjoyed it and there was a bus service to and from the circuit. Not having much choice now but to accept the offer (unless I pay 100’s for black market or ticket agent) Just wondering does the bus service run during the 24hours of racing and times like every hour? And what about practice Thursday, Friday night etc does the bus run then and how often? Thanks in advance but looks like every one getting different offers than what they ordered. jamie Quote
Steve R Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 There's still a space up for grabs in the van that's going over with the group if anyone is interested? It would be good to share the cost and possibly some of the driving if anybody fancies it? Just think.. maybe not as glamorous as going over in a Westy but it'll have a proper heater, a radio and loads of room for beer! Anybody who's interested should either contact myself or Nigel asap as we need to get things firmed up. Nigel has asked me to mention that Page & Moy are pushing for confirmation of places as soon as possible. Please could those who want to come try to attend the January meeting (Thursday 20th) and bring along their deposits for £90 so that places can be booked. Thanks, Steve. Quote
Blatman Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 but it'll have a proper heater ROFLM O A heater? In June? At Le Mans? You've never been, have you? Quote
Steve R Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 I'm taking no chances! Have been several times before and remember being soaked to the skin for most of the weekend about 3 years ago which was really miserable with no way to dry out properly! Not that I want to put anybody off going by the way!! Having said that, I've been totally scorched on all other occasions Quote
Blatman Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 2001 was the wet year. I managed to dry out OK each day, despite camping and having no roof on the Westfield... It was still fun though, except for the drive back to Caen after the race when I got caught in a cloud burst that was so ferocious, I couldn't see the end of the bonnet... Quote
