Hood frame

Help I'm very new to these cracking little cars. How the ****does the hood frame go up and stay up? I live in Bradford and I'm going toneed it next "summer" I'm sure.

My new toy was to get me off 2 wheels and back on 4 as I'm now 40, so it's a cosworth turbo, once the weather picks up I will go chasing my old biking mates for sure!!

thanks Jon   :bangshead:

Hi John

Bit like Rubix cube, once you know how- its still difficult.Had 2 Westys over 3 years and every time i try 2 put hood on it the front bit seems to be at the back etc then suddenly it all works ok.The hood may need a bit of stretching if its not been used much.Trial and error!!!!!!!! Carefull not to scratch the roll bar while you are loosing youre temper with it.

If you are stuck and need a blat excuse im only in Bingley.

Cheers Phil

I'm somewhat older than 40 but managed to get in my SEiW with the hood up without too much in the way of injury. It was such a bad experience (not getting in, BEING in) that I've not done it since! The answer to your question mrjonnie, is that it works best in a polybag hanging on the garage wall. :D

Thnaks for the advice. I'm 6' 2" and have tried and managed to get in and out. Apparently I look like a hermit crab getting out of its shell. Lancs or Yorks meets? will propbably try both..

Thanks for the offer Phil might just pop over to sunny Bingley, managed 165mph on the bypass on my old bike last summer but nearly lost my son off the back!! Hence the new toy.

One of my favourite Westfield questions.. Ever!!! And no one will commit to a definitive answer :D  :D  :D  :D

If would be far simpler working out how women think and use their logic!!  :suspect:  (can of worms time me thinks!;)  :p  :D  :D  :D
