Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Mad Lon maybe, just maybe, the local authority, to whom you pay that outrageous amount of Council Tax, are culpable for not clearing/gritting. In this day and age of litigation you cannot afford to overlook any scapegoats. Quote
mad lon Posted December 20, 2004 Author Posted December 20, 2004 Clap...they certainly didn't grit(which is quite usual in these parts)But hey what the hell, free bit of sledging...well not quite free. Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 Lon, I had a bad day yesterday too. Not as bad as yours, but it started with a tax demand and ended with me absent mindedly putting petrol in my diesel Mondeo and having to pay someone to pump it out. Expensive, humiliating, time-wasting, and embarrassing. It was only about 15% petrol but can you afford to take the chance? No! Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 Glad to see you're being philosophical about it old bean, forget it for a while and have a Good Christmas. Quote
