Dracoro
What with the weather over the last coupla months and needing to find new dizzy cap I've been down. Think about going for a drive but the appeal wasn't enough, shall I wait 'til spring summer etc. So I fit new dizzy cap and decide to take it for a little drive to make sure it all works ok. Needless to say I was out for a coupla hours, out in the country, rear out on roundabouts, snaking out of junctions, blasting down nice clear roads, fresh weather etc.. Wow! I'd just forgotten how much fun this thing is. It was almost worth the not driving it for a coupla months (I said ALMOST I'm not leaving it another couple of months Hello to the nice new porker 911 driver behind me giving me thumbs up and letting me hear that nice boxer engine Sorry you couldn't keep up though Just thought I'd share this as I'm gonna mope about the flat less and drive more Anyone else love winter motoring! To top it up, Wesfield World mag on my doorstep when I got back
stu999
Anyone else love winter motoring! Definately. And funnily enough, it is the subject of the Editorial in this months WW. Unless there are upgrades planned, I can never understand why folk take their cars off the road for Winter - some of the best driving experiences can be had over the winter months (especially when compared to the summer just gone...) Car sorted then I guess?
neilwillis
Of course, the roads are empty!
scruffythefirst
Just be carefull out there at this time of year guys, my best mate nearly killed himself and wrote his car off on wednesday due to slipery roads and over enthusiastic driving. Not a westy fortunately or the telegraph pole he snapped in half might have done him some major damage.
neilwillis
Us, drive fast? Did he walk away from it? If you get it out often enough, you get used to slippery surfaces

PeterOz
Of course, the roads are empty! Except for the gritter lorries! Went out today and came round a corner to find gritter coming the other way with big plume spreading behind it. Good job I had sidescreens on as getting a faceful of salty grit probably not that pleasant, but otherwise a very enjoyable couple of hours - should have taken my sunglasses though, low winter sun and salt encrusted screen meant flying blind on a few occasions....
