Duartec anyone

This engine is a brand new 2ltr ford duratec engine with only 150 run in miles.

It was dynoed with throttle bodies at 262BHP and when fully run in 270BHP is expected

Modifications done are:-

Reprofiled Large Cams

Set Springs

Ported Fast Road Head

Skimmed Head

Pocketed and Balenced Pistons

Big End Bolts

Matched Inlet Manifold to Head and Ports

Set Valve Shims   [the Duratec does not have valve shims in it does he mean he has had to replace the cam follower caps that are indeed the tappet shims if so why as most of the better camshaft companies are producing cams with the same bace circle]

Baffled Wet Sump

Lightened Flywheel

Thats quite an optomistic dyno

And why has he added 1/2 kg buy painting an alloy block

Maybe he likes the colour blue, and isn't so anal about weight saving that a few grams here or there is unimportant.
