SDV Indicators??

I seem to remember when the SDV was first reported in one of the Kit Car magazines, that the original indicator stawks for the Sierra were used to replace the dash mounted switch.  Did this ever see the light of day??  Anyone done this on their car?  It just seems to logical and will avoid the problem of leaving your indicators on for miles and miles!!

Are you sure about this? I drove the original (blue) SDV demonstrator, which is the one that was featured in which kit etc.. and that had an indicator switch as opposed to stalk.

It would be a good idea to fit them but there is very little space behind the wheel for all of the fittings.

I feel a customisation comming on here!!  I'm also going to design a mechanism which allows the rear view mirror to be moved up and out of the way, so you don't get neck ache by looking under it all the time!

I was thinking about using a vauxhall indicator stalk like this

one as it is nice and neat.

As for the rearview mirror why not use a small stick on one?

Mount it on top of the scuttle at the base of the screen. I've used a £4.50 Halfords stick on one for a couple of years with no problems... well, until I broke it... but that was my own fault :0
