itguy
Don't know if you can say that the ally rad is 'very expensive new' It might be from w/f but a trip to german-sweedish will see you one bought for 42+VAT Unless its NOT a polo rad of course - could be wrong... catflap
It is a polo rad. It really depends on your perspective I suppose. If I knew how to fix a leaky rad and there was one for sale for a fiver I would buy that and save the other 55 quid!! If you bought it from German-Swedish it would cost you about ₤49 + ₤8 postage if you dont happen to live near one = ₤57 Our local motorfactors sell them for ₤60! In my opinion ₤60 is expensive - expensive is a subjective statement. But then we do live in a throw away society!
itguy
no probs - I think I am still in 'winter rebuild' mode where 60 quid is not that much (and I am lucky enough to have a german sweedish on my way home from work) I have seen some rad weld stuff in halfords, not sure how well it works though... MARSDALEBEAR
Try it on the "template" and flog it on Ebay for more than Catflap gets or better still flog it as is to pay for my rental of the stand
catflap
ITGUY: I know what you mean. Like I say 'expensive' is subjective and when you are trying to save up for something everything seems expensive!!

catflap
One of those scammers, they claim they send 6 thousand pond for an ite and you then have to send them the change I took a leafe out of finnys book, and wound them up a little, its frustrating though.
