hilux
I want a movie type camera for in car shots etc etc Digicam`s seem expensive for a 640 x 480 MPEG quality Whats wrong with the small video cameras 8mm Hi8 etc etc as they are dirt cheap on e-bay, I suppose the only downside is that you need to edit/convert onto your PC What do you lot use in your cars or in general and are there attributes/makes that I should look out for if video cams are ok I must admit I`m a bit behind on this technology as I`ve got a digi camera that takes about 30 secs of crap quality movie

Scottish Bloke
Hi I use a digital camcorder, Panasonic NV-DS65B to be precise. It is mounted to my roll bar with a custom made bracket, I made myself. I've used it a few times at Harewood, Donnington and runs out and the films are excellent. You can also use it as a digital camera to take still shots, using it's in built memory card. I've had it a couple of years and paid £350 new, so you'll get a 2nd hand one similar for reasonable dosh ps Get a lense protector
