Dry sump Pump

Recommended Posts

I have ripped my belt on my dry sump pump must have been a stone or something.

(Under tray going on soon)

But how do I change it, if I slide it off, will the new one just slide back on?

you should be able to twist the belt through 90 degrees by hand, so I would imagine it will just slide on and off (once you have removed any restraining bits and bobs).

sounds like you may have been lucky to spot it before bad things happen!

mine is a caterham one, and it feels quite tight, think I can get it off, but "I may have a problem getting it on"

Not really something that I am used to  :D

if the tension is correct it should slide off the pulley. otherwise normally there is a slotted hole under the mounting to allow the tension to be relieved. The belt should be a lot slacker than you think...
