Jan Coombes
I have ripped my belt on my dry sump pump must have been a stone or something. (Under tray going on soon) But how do I change it, if I slide it off, will the new one just slide back on?
oioi
this sbd/pace system? if so it just slides on/off as it is not under tension. or at least mine does......
moomin
you should be able to twist the belt through 90 degrees by hand, so I would imagine it will just slide on and off (once you have removed any restraining bits and bobs). sounds like you may have been lucky to spot it before bad things happen! moomin
Jan Coombes
mine is a caterham one, and it feels quite tight, think I can get it off, but "I may have a problem getting it on" Not really something that I am used to

ACW
if the tension is correct it should slide off the pulley. otherwise normally there is a slotted hole under the mounting to allow the tension to be relieved. The belt should be a lot slacker than you think...
