Liam
Ooooooh yes! Oil pressure problem? What oil pressure problem? I don't intend braking. What time are we leaving then Chris, Martin? Er, the camera attachment device is duct tape by the way Chris. Son - in - law has a bullet cam which tapes nicely to the front suspension but it is more spectacular for fast twisty road blats than a quarter mile straight (it has sound too so you can hear the shrieks of "Brake! BRAKE!....... I'm gonna diiiieeeee...." from your passenger)
chazpowerslide
I don't mind an early start at all, I think the only spanner in the works is the arm straps (whatever they mean). I'll give Santa Pod a ring in the morning to clarify. Chaz.
CrashBangWallop
Er, the camera attachment device is duct tape by the way And here's me thinking I didn't have one! I've still got metres of the stuff... somewhere???
ROC
Chaz, This is what they mean by arm straps, http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/catalog....=search You put your hand through the loop and move the strap up your arm and tie the other end to the harness/seat belt. Rich.
markcoopers
Arm straps? I've ran a RWYB and never wore them, although I remember a thred on here about them saying they were mandatory. Can not make Sunday, sorry. Liam, I have a new quiet exhaust comming in time for me next Bedford day, so I'll return your box of clever bits soon. CrashBangWallop
I presume you only need one. It'll be pretty hard to change gear with both hands strapped to the steering wheel
chazpowerslide
Personally I'd like my hands free to cover my eyes if a shunt is inevitable Chaz.

CrashBangWallop
Does anyone fancy going 'halfers' on a pair? As that's all they seem to sell them in. There has to be somewhere cheaper than Demon Tweaks. Would it arrive in time, anyway? Alternatively, could anyone lend me one for the day? langy
It's amazing what comes up in Google search results when typing in arm restraints
samcooke
Rope is fine for arm restraints at Santa Pod - or was three years ago.
CrashBangWallop
Rope? Oh, I've got plenty of that from my bondage collec.... Damn!! I wasn't supposed to say that! Forget about that. I never said it. La la la la la!
chazpowerslide
Roc is trying to borrow a couple of pairs of bondage straps (I allways did think a Westy cockpit was nice and intimate) so we should'nt need to buy any ourselves (pitty though the ones on the Demon Tweaks would look good hanging off the headboard of the marital bed, Mrs Slide rekons the pink ones would suit her well) Anyway, back to the next area run, I rekon we could meet at the BP services on the A1/A14 junction (Brampton Hut). I can meet the Cambridge boys at Tesco Milton, rendevous with the Peterborough chaps at Brampton Hut services then go cross country to Northampton to meet Rock and onto Santa Pod via the villages (I'm from this area and know the roads well) Start time would need to be about 7am to get to Santa Pod by 9am There is a Chinese Buffet (eat all you like for £10) in Northampton and another in Milton Keynes (a chain called called Aromas) that might be good for lunch. What do you guys think? Chaz.
scruffythefirst
It sounds great, Will it be ok to leave my tin top at tesco milton all day or would someone be able to pick me up from newport?
