Anyone know where I can get the dimensions for one of these from & where there are any forums - for sale places to look?

Basically, will I fit in one or should I get a Fury  :bangshead:

Oh, nearly forgot I assume that Sylva sold the design to Raw or is it a different car?  Yeah I know "do a search" *sighs*

Cheers,

Mike dB

I don't know whereabouts in the country you are, but I meet up with a bunch of Sylva guys once a month in Marlow, and I am sure they wouldn't mind you having a sit in a few.

From the passenger rides I have had in them, I would agree with Sam's comments.

Cheers

The Fisher fury is the more 'car' looking one isn't it? ???

Is it the same as a phoenix, there is a nice BEC one for £9k on pistonheads, too much for me tho :(

David, I live in the North West so probably too far from Marlow (assuming that's down sarf, well it sounds like harlow!;)

Mike,

I've got a Striker (ZX9R powered) and a Fury (Blackbird powered, and currently being rebuilt after a big shunt at Mallory).

The Striker was sold to RAW by Jeremy Phillips of Sylva, just as the Fury was sold to Mark Fisher of Fisher Sportscars back in the mid 90s.  The Pheonix (now sold by Stuart Taylor) is basically a Striker with an aeroscreened body.  The cockpit is reasonably long, but fairly narrow.  I'm 5'11" and about 13 stone and there isn't much space around the edges when i squeeze into the Striker...

The Fury is a different chassis entirely although there are some similarities between it and a Striker/Pheonix chassis.  It's significantly wider although not much longer.  TBH, however, there are some pretty lanky 6'+ people driving Furies with no problems.  A fellow Fury owner/racer is a good 6'3" and has no problems with leg room.  The Fury comes in three principle bodyshell flavours - with a screen and doors, with a screen and no doors, and with an aeroscreen and no doors.

Personally I like the Fury due to the extra width, although the Striker/Pheonix chassis is probably stiffer due to the higher top chassis rails (the top chassis rails on the Fury are quite low to allow for the doors).  Much of a muchness though, really.

HTH

p.s. my aeroscreened ZX9R Striker will be for sale soon - probably for about £6k...   ;)

Oooohhhhh!!!!        :t-up:  :D  :)

Although, if the Fury is wider, hhhmmm *strokes chin* :D

Depends how much width you need!  I'm fairly, erm, well endowed in the width department when it comes to the seating area, and I've done tours in the Striker driving 6 hours a day no problem.  Took it to LeMans this year.

Best thing to do, as ever, is to find a local meet and try some for size.

The Striker, when it goes for sale, will be on sale in all the usual places...  :D

Drop Mel at Raw a line he is very approachable and I have found him very helpful.

Oooooohhh, I likes the loook of the "menace" at fisher sportscars, ooohhh "suits you sir" :D

Erm, anyone know if there is a fisher fury/sylva striker meet in the north west? ??? Or anywhere I can sit in one & try it out.

Liking the fury idea though *rubs thighs frantically*

Oh if Mr DanB would like to e-mail some pictures to 007.mikedb@gmail.com would be most appreciative :):D

The 'gas your girlfriend' function has been lost unfortunately - the exhaust is now gas-tight again!

Girlfriend in question does have a G20, however - the first to have a bike engine fitted in it AFAIK.

I'll dig out some piccies and send them along.

Dan

p.s. actually, all the piccies I've really got of the LGSoF are on my website - www.danstuff.info - should be fairly obvious which section it is...

hows the ginetta coming along?
