peterg Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 That 'dinner' in the pub reminds me of a time when we + inlaws tried to eat at the Drumnadrochit Hotel on Loch Ness...(it's the place where the 'Monster' exhibition is) luckily we weren't paying by a card behind the bar so we tossed £20 on the table for the drinks and starters we had managed to get and walked out.. best comment from the manager was when he said "I knew we'd have trouble with you!" mainly because we had complained 'loudly' that:- a) the starters were poor, 2 prawns and a huge pile of lettuce! b) the 'pre-dinner' drinks we'd ordered on arriving were brought to the table after the starters! c) it was a carvery and the 'chef' had trouble finding enough meat on the turkey even though the restaurant had only been open 30 minutes! d) the gravy looked like old dishwater e) there was no cranberry jelly left (it was descirbed as 'homemade' but when we asked for some he produced a jar of ordinary shop stuff and plonked it into the dish f) the 'manager' came to the table with his thumb in one of the starters complete with blue plaster on it! As we left the place somewhat triumphantly you could see all the other diners looking at their plates and wondering if maybe they should have said something too Quote

Mrs Westy Posted September 23, 2004 Author Posted September 23, 2004 It's definitely there, I just checked again. Are you sure you were clicking on Saturday and not Sunday After all you might be living on a hill and not able to tell which line is which... If you still can't see it, let me know and I'll email it to you Quote
westy Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Another great write up, even it had photos of me in it, shame your not around to do the write ups next year, its very simple Mr Duck. Zurich to Luton is about 90 quid as well as the return. Then theres a taxi cost from Luton to event, a small bill for overnight accomdation and of course drinks/meal on expenses and there you go....one dedicated commentary girl. If you tip her more she may strip dance on the FTD car Tip her even more and she might not nag anyone for the weekend Quote

Now how can that be - cue ADH saying I dont have version 2.4 blurbware or somert. I fancied broadband, but in Lancashire the only way to get your mail faster is to buy the posty a bicycle. Oh & whilst I'm on about computers, no matter what I type into my seach engine it brings up porn, what's wrong with it?? Quote
