Barney(still embarrassed)Rubble seeHerefor Westfield Spade Series Regulations and class structure proposed for the 2005 season Quote
Rob Navin Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 Barney A quote from your regs says The strongest, lightest handles are made of fiberglass. These are excellent to use and last a long time. Does this mean that all composite handles are allowed. Is this a new venture for Mickmade Quote
barney Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 as it happens a mould is being made from a prototype Spear & Jackson as we speak ,hopefully the Wide Handle moulds should be ready in time for the Awards night.. Quote
SteveD Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 ahhhhh new megaspade now under construction carbon handle , fully ballanced titanium shaft with all steel bottom end running aero screen and avon a45 compound slick grip's now that the weathers cooled down a little, in summer a32 compound will be prefered should be in the low 32 seconds around the top of the garden ,will be upgrading to QED 46v full race titanium shaft over the winter and knife edge balancing the bottom end for that extra depth Quote
Mrs Westy Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Will it be stored on a quickrack? That could pose an unfair advantage in the "removing tools from the shed" phase Quote
mhc Posted September 26, 2004 Author Posted September 26, 2004 If two spades are used in sequence does this make them sequential spades? If so, will this be legal under the spade and shovel rules? If not, why not! Quote
SteveD Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 you would have to be bleedin good to use a megaspade in each hand i can tell ya latest megaspade development update twin bladed megaspade you know you want one ,top digging speed of 5 sq feet a minute ,and a 64 ft time of 22.6 minutes i will be going for the current world record 0-60 ft currently held by the twin bladed four handled tiger spade this will be attempted at 3 sisters next weekend ,and the digger will be no other than joey bosswell of bread fame ,you should see him dig Quote
Rob Navin Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 the digger will be no other than joey bosswell of bread fame ,you should see him dig Has he registered for the spade series ? If he has is he registered for the right class 10 days before the event ? Quote
Mark Stanton Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Mr D Are you supplying not standard approved manufactured spades - Remember they must be log-booked by a registered MSA (Motorised Spade Association) Scrutineer Quote
SteveD Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 yup all above board and legal ,joey holds a msa licence and entered for 3 sisters last week and in the right class i have moved the origonal handle mounting points but i am running in none tarmac digging so thats allowed and the old bearded w****r scruit log booked it so feel free to challenge him if you feel there are any iregularities Quote
RICHARD+PHILIP Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Question. If I had a sequential gearbox with a full throttle shift attached wouldnt that turn it into a semi automatic gearbox? which have no mention in anybodys rules. Wise man once said. If you find yourself in a hole with a spade stop digging! Quote
