oldman Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 I would like to add my best wishes to those already offered. It's a risk that all motor sport drivers take and accept, of course, but it's still a blow when an accident happens. Good Luck Chris for a swift and total recovery; we've never met but anyone who makes it possible for people of modest means to enjoy cars like Westfields deserves the best of fortune. Is there any further news on Chris's condition? He was due further surgery, I believe. Same here Quote
Mark Stanton Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 I've spoken to Chris tonight and he's in very good spirits he's had his second op this morning and is now all pinned and plated - He's asked if I can pass on his thanks and appreciation for all the messages and good wishes posted here and those sent through to him. He's looking forward to being transferred to a hospital nearer home very soon. The photo of Chris' accident was in todays Motorsport News - I wish it was something I hadn't seen - it really did look nasty. Quote
Martin Keene Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Ditto... There is one on page 108 of Autosport. Horrible Accident. Front have of the car just folded up. Quote
Matt Seabrook Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 I would just like to echo all the good wishes that every one has posted form us down here in Cornwall. I don’t like to see accidents least of all when someone gets hurt. Quote
Petrol.Head Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Just like to add my best Wishes to Chris Smith. I suspect that without Chris the value for money quality seven that we all enjoy may never have existed. Detailed Report of the Crash Quote
Graham.J Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Think it's all been said before but I'd just like to give Chris all my best wishes for a speedy recovery and hope he's fighting fit soon Graham Quote

Kevin Wood Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Somewhat belatedly I'd like to add my best wishes to Chris for a speedy recovery. I recall his great enthusiasm for Motorsport when I was at the factory pondering the spec of my car and I know he won't want to be out of action for too long. Kevin. Quote
