According to the blue book a white square with black numbers is required. Have noticed that many seem to use white numbers against a contrasting coloured car. My car is red are white numbers  acceptable? Hoping to participate next year in roadgoing class.

as long as there is a clear contrast and the timing people can read the numbers I wouldnt worry.  At north welad there was a number of black cars with black numbers stuck on...it made us chuckle at least but they still got their times.

That is mandatory ONLY for circuit racing  :D  :D  ;)  ;)  :D and then subject to championship specific regs  ;)  ;)  :D

For sprints and hills numbers merely need to be of a contrast to background and clearly visible.  :D  :D  :D

e.g Black numbers on white, yellow and magnolia coloured cars  :D  :D  :D

White numbers on black, blue. burgandy  :D  ;) red and green cars  :D  ;)

Its that easy  :D  ;)
