hazards, seats & harnesses

My 1990 Westie SE doesn't have any hazard warning lights, the build manual doesn't mention them - are they needed for MOT purposes?

Also looking at installing fixed seats and four point harnesses to replace the removable seat pads and static belts - any advice, particularly on low back seats and suggested mounting points for all the nuts and bolts?

Ta!

Hazards are not an MOT requirement. Nor are fog and reverse lights.

HOWEVER, if you have any of these things fitted, they must work at MOT time, except for the reverse lights, which are just not part of the MOT.

Fitting 4 points requires the welding on of threaded lugs in the appropriate spot. The lugs are available from the factory. It's a 15 minute job for a competent welder. Positioning of the lugs is easy with you or a volunteer sat in the car.

If you have an RAC bar, I'd be adding some sort of head restraints by welding something suitable on to the bar.
