brake disc resurfacing

I have some fairly bad brake judder on the 92 toyota 4runner I drive out here, I'm assuming that the rotors (sorry discs) are warped or have too much runout. they do seem a little scored.

So, is having the discs machined an acceptable way to resolve this?

$120 ea new, or $20ea  to machine.....

Opinions please.

Depends. You'd need to check what the minimum thickness tolerance is....

if they are warped get upto about 80-90 mph and jump on the brakes. keep on them till about 20 mph and then coast to a stop, dont use the brakes for a few minutes. if they arent warped to death then that should help a bit.

by the way discs are only at their best for about 20,000 miles
