samcooke
My used trailer came with a mix of car tyres on it (175/60 13s FWIW) which seem fine - it tows OK. I've now been told it's actually illegal to run it on anything but special trailer tyres - something to do with the side wall loading properties - is that right? I'm scared now. peterg
All purpose built trailers come with 'van type' tyres on which can withstand the loading better due to the stronger sidewalls - yours are probably OK as the total weight on the trailer isn't much with a Westfield but as to legality I'm not sure - why not give Brian James a ring? I've found their technical folks will happily answer queries even if it's not a BJ trailer you're asking about
