Hey, I went to Le Mans and saw loads of Westy's, I went down with the S2000's guys. Had an awesome time, watching the race, drinking, chilling etc

Highlight of the weekend was my trip around the Prodrive pits!

Buzz did have eyebrows intact....... and followed everone else to make sure he didnt get lost. Last saw him looking dazed after breakfast on the Ferry, so no guarantee he will get home.

Not a single broken down TVR in sight for me... including on the track. Their engines did twice as many miles as my Tuscan did between rebuilds.

Turbo Tommo had a permenant beer blanket, but otherwise behaved himself....

Paul Hurdsfield caravan became WSCC tea room....

Had a fantastic time but with its fair share of mishaps.

Brief list as follows...

1. Westfield cap blew off head on M20, didn't stop to go back for it.

2. Near lost all important documentation for the trip when bum bag thingy was left on the back of the car whilst boarding ferry (thanx Rob for picking it up)

3. Left sunglasses on currency exchange on ferry, P&O staff eventually tracked me down to hand them back to me.

4. Got slightly lost after Rouen only to take a rather long detour through Everaux and Dreaux.

5. Left fuel filler cap on spare wheel after filling at Dreaux. Noticed it missing in Alencon, took 75mile return detour back to garage to try and recover it.... was it there, er no. Tried temporary plastic cap, no good, fuel pissin out on left handers. Thanks to Europa spares and Dave Preston for ensuring I got a new replacement by the Thursday. At a cost to the insurers of £139

:p

6. Bought lovely new fleece from ACO boutique only to place it on top of a lit cigarette... doh!  :durr:

Journey back yesterday was going surprisingly well until.....

7. Rob had his tax disk nicked while car parked on ferry

and the piste de resistance...

8. (and a big one at that) with 40 miles to go to Warwick I filled the car with diesel!!! Car ran for 2 miles then smoke, bang, stop!

Many thanks to the C******m guys passing me on the M40 and showing your appreciation and concern.

Eventually got the car home for 0345 this morning. Cheers Rob for waiting with me despite being knackered. Car has now had diesel removed and is ok again.

Despite all this, the trip was excellent and i'll definately be going next year. Although a little less drama would be appreciated.

Photos to follow soon

Well done chaps........brilliant tales to be told I`m sure.

I havent been for some years now. Always something else in the way but it brings back memories of when I used to go.

Havent seen results yet but a mate of mine was mechanicking? for the Morgan team. Havent spoken to him so dont know how they got on.

My favorite memory was when they had a huge pirates galleon swing boat at the fair.........my mate was sick (Ricard/Pernod) as he hung upside down so on the way down everybody got some  :0  :0  :0  :0

Cant wait to see piccies.

Edited to say were the Hawaiian Tropic girls there this year  :p

Don't know. It wasn't English, and I'm fairly sure it wasn't French either. I think Windy's translation is a fair approximation of what he said...... I responded by waving my arms about just like a Frenchman would, and he let me go. Apparently, Indianapolis and Arnage is a road, not a race track for doing powerslides from a standing start...... C'est la vie.... :D There *is* a picture, 'cos when I got back to the camp site, Fat Arnie had it up on the big screen. Expect it to arrive at a web site near you soon.......

Oh yes.  Cue Blatman for his photo please.....

Tomorrow, hopefully. Best bit was, as the Hawaiian Tropic girls are strutting their stuff, the Ferrari girl (plastic tits and a great A***, most of them just about inside a lycra suit that was a size too small) walks on to the grid, and promptly gets them out (her tits, that is). Sadly my camera takes waaaaay to long to boot up, so I missed it... :(

Didn't see any broken TVR's at Le Havre, but there were two broken down C******m's, along with a Plymouth Barracuda, a 'Vette, and several other anonymous repmobile things..... My car is on the walking wounded list too, 'cos despite a new alternator, it still managed to destroy the voltage regulator before we'd got off the boat on the way there...... Either I need some more in depth diagnostic tools, or the bloke who fixed it last week, didn't. Either way, there's an interesting conversation coming up with said supplier......
