Towing Service - Midlands?

Does anyone know of a towing service available in the Midlands to get my part build car to an exhaust manufacturer so he can finish off the system that he's started for me?

I hope to have the engine in for good within the next fortnight, and he needs the car for a day or two to finish off the system.

Problems are: 1) I have no trailer, 2) I don't have a car to tow with, 3) My licence doesn't cover towing a trailer (post 1996 licence).

Suggestions? The car needs to get to Macclesfield.

Cheers

Ring Chris Baker at Lincolnshire trailer centre

01472 211222 he may answer the phone as C.J.Powder coaters

He was looking into car transporting as well as sales and hire

But it will be commercial prices unless you can do a cash deal.

Paul.

Has anyone got any more local suggestions?

I looked at where Chris Baker's phone number is on streetmap.co.uk, and he's the best part of 100 miles away from me, so that'd end up with me paying for a lot of extra wasted miles.

The Midlands is huuuuuuuuuge - whereabouts are ya  ;)  :D

There's a few trailer places around  ;)  ;)  :D  I used to hire one from Indespension for just £30 for a weekend  :D

3) My licence doesn't cover towing a trailer (post 1996 licence).

Why can't you tow with a post 96 licence    :durr:  ???  ???

Mark,

Since 1996 or 1997 the standard driving test no longers gives you a towing licence. It's just one of those annoying changes.

If I could tow, then I'd hire a trailer quite happily, but I can't so I won't.

I'm in Warwick, the car's in Leamington.

Paul: Bribe who with how much cash?

Do you have to take an extra towing test then  ???  ???  or just accumulate some years experience  ???  ???
