Westfields Rock On
yeah, i had a hammer. it was like ''whack-a-mole''. Apparantly with a burton head and kent cam i could have 150bhp. Mr Vessey said that removing the large amount of coke in the engine would help, and a new bottom end would improve performance. where can i get engine de-coked locally and how much is it? Clever types thems at Dennis Vessey!
stu999
where can i get engine de-coked Easy, thrash the nads off it. Or otherwise, throw a can of injector cleaner into the petrol tank occiasionally. Decokes without spanners.... Stu

damianc
You could get a head from a scrappy for £10-£20 and build it at your leisure, de-coke, new cams, porting etc. Then clean the piston crowns when you fit the head. Or just get a spare head and de-coke it yourself, then it's only the cost of a head gasket set (£20?)

damianc
You could do that..... A top end decoke's a fairly straightforward DIY job
