Westfieldman
Dunnel blanks this off I have replaced this with my own plate and breather pipe and piped it into the cam cover You could pip it to a catch tank [i have had it this way before its ok]

Pete.H
Never simple is it ! Both the vents I have are from very early engines maybe Ford changed them later on? Should have mentioned it's a standard Westfield manafold and exhaust.
Kevin Wood
I have seen 2 sizes of vents so maybe you've been unlucky and got the larger one. I would have thought blanking the breather would be OK as long as the cam cover breather is open. A rummage at a scrap yard might yield a breather that fits though. thos
What kind of manifold have you got ? There's a thread around here somewhere that suggests keeping the breather and not blanking it off.
