I doubt anyone will get to Wellesbourne that way, but please note the Fosse Way is currently closed at Offchurch until the 26th due to installing a bicycle bridge because of yes, you guessed it, HS2.

PAYMENT

The WSCC has agreed to part fund this visit for members and their immediate family, therefore the cost will be £10 per person, payable on the day. I have had confirmation that payments can be made by card or cash.

 

TIMINGS

We are required to be there at 1.15pm, for the 1.30pm visit start. It is expected to last for approximately 2.5 hours, with the group photo towards the end of the visit.

 

LUNCH

It is my intention to arrive sometime around 11.15 to 11.30am in order to grab an early lunch/late breakfast prior to the visit. You are free to arrive just in time for the visit or join us at the Touchdown Cafe. However, the cafe can be very busy, so there may be delays for food and the cafe parking may be difficult, as it is not very big and is usually full of cars and motorcycles.

 

PARKING

The location of the Vulcan is at South Warwickshire Flying School, Loxley Lane, Wellesbourne, Mountford Aerodrome, Warwick CV35 9EU. On arrival, turn right to park on the grass area as shown below. There is plenty of parking there and we are allowed to park there in the morning whilst we walk down to the cafe, also shown below.
