"Because all cars contribute to the wear and tear on our roads, I will ensure that drivers are taxed according to how much they drive and not just by the type of car they use" It is the highlight that concerns me..... 1 Quote

Gillinghampaul Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I think this is the way it'll go too, we will not lose one, just gain another, double taxed on a road use of cars, all new cars have GPS as it is, we will just be mandated to have a black box fitted, classics may be exempt due to old electrical systems and generally limited mileages Quote

The pence per mile charge for EV’s in to offset the decline in fuel duty revenue so in theory the Government lying toerags should not start adding pence per mile to petrol/diesel vehicles 2 Quote

Locally they are charging more for parking based on emissions and weight so nothing surprises me Quote
Mike Rowland - Essex AO Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Once they have a process for the new pay-per-mile, they'll definitely use it to gouge everything. Quote

It's now over £130 per tonne. Which is why organised crime is now involved in industrial scale fly tipping. Quote

Yes that big one in Oxfordshire is just crazy, must have taken a while so how come no one noticed? Quote

Locally they are charging more for parking based on emissions and weight so nothing surprises me Cardiff council have just voted to bring in higher charges for residents parking of "large suv's" but one of the definitions of large is length and at 12 feet it makes the westfield 11 a large vehicle , at the same time they have extended the residents parking to cover the whole of cardiff so if you travel to anywhere in cardiff you can only park in council car parks and they have just had massive price hikes in all car parks. Just so they get you all ways the council own the bus company and the labour run assembly own the trains. Quote
