Martin Keene Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 couldn't possibly comment... edited to add: got some news pads to fit at the weekend, which will need testing... Quote
chazpowerslide Posted May 6, 2004 Author Posted May 6, 2004 Are these the type of pads that fit next to the skin beneath your undergarments to prevent soilage or the type that fit in your brake calipers to help you stop? Doubtless you may need the former if the latter have not bedded in properly before going for it Chaz. Quote
ChrisF Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 Martin certainly needed undergarment pads when a car cut across him on a roundabout at Corby....suffice to say it was bl**** close I was following and all I could see was blue smoke then lots of brown stuff Chaz...we shall tell you about it on Sunday. chazpowerslide Posted May 8, 2004 Author Posted May 8, 2004 Yep Sparky, will make that one a date, unless you fancy riging shotgun with me again or was last time too intense? Chaz. Quote
SparkyB Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 Thanx for the offer Chaz but Sunday lunch sounds tooo tempting... Plus I'm still having nightmares about being chased by a 4x4 Mark Quote
CrashBangWallop Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 Chaz? I'll be along on the bike on Sunday. I've ran out of insurance miles on the car. If someone wants to let me pax, I'd be greatful but, not expecting anything. Also the official WSCC website is up and running at www.wscc.co.uk/area/cambridge It should be a lot easier to navigate as I spent a bit more time thinking of the layout. There isn't much there at the moment. I'm relying on all you good folk to supply me with images and info. I'll start filling in the blanks when it starts coming in. Neil Quote
chazpowerslide Posted May 9, 2004 Author Posted May 9, 2004 Hi Neil, you can sit in with me if you like. If the weather is really crap we can skip the run and go straight to the White Horse however, I have not driven the car since the last area meeting so a little drizzle will not stop me coming out to play. Chaz. Quote
ChrisF Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 The bl**dy weather here in Wisbech is cr*p...so I think I'll give it a miss this time See you all on the next run. Quote
CrashBangWallop Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 Thanks for that guys ,especially Mark . It was great fun. I should be all paid up on the insurance front for next month. I've had the car for a year now and only been on two runs. I'll try and make up for it this year... weather permitting The bl**dy weather [snip] That's a shame Chris. It was a completely dry run apart from the odd puddle, chickens and a rather flat hedge-hog Quote
chazpowerslide Posted May 9, 2004 Author Posted May 9, 2004 Thanks for leading the run today Mark, good fun was had by all.......and we forgot the quiz again Chaz Quote
ChrisF Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 It was piddling it down here and as it's a long way for me, I thought better of it. It was a completely dry run apart from the odd puddle I wish I'd gone now...with my new lightened car...minus spare wheel Quote
Martin Keene Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 I was going good guns with the cooling system mods on saturday afternoon / evening... right up to the point where the aluminium elbow in the water pump snapped clean off... altogether now... Got a new pump on order, doesn't arrive till tomorrow... *note to self* if it's not broke... don't fix it... if it's not broke... don't fix it... if it's not broke... don't fix it... if it's not broke... don't fix it... if it's not broke... don't fix it... if it's not broke... don't fix it... etc...
