Flying Carrot Steve Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I've never been sure about cages where they have that bar on rose joints that comes down into the cabin. Will surely add rigidity and help prevent the cage collapsing if upside down but how safe is it if you are being thrown around inside the car, surely it will just be something else (possibly nearer) to be smashed into? That's the petty bar. I've seen it used with rollbars to strengthen the chassis, not sure how useful it is with a full cage 🤔 That cage looks very robust tho, but I'm quite sure it isn't FIA homologated, so there is really no point on getting it instead of the Caged/Westfield one which is. 1 Quote
Mark19691 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago For me no down sides to a full cage, stiffens the chassis, full roll over protection, somewhere to haul yourself out, and best of all daughter can use it as a ballet bar 🤷♂️ Custom cage made to a very high standard, in a bigger diameter tube than the msa cage. And the The ballet bar, 2nd position apparently 🤷♂️ I have just thought of a downside to a full cage.....the amount of flies and bugs that get splattered on it! 2 Quote

I absolutely love my full cage, for all the reasons you mentioned. I'm even up for the ballet bit! 1 Quote

They do state it's FIA compliant Quote
