shaun Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 Just a reminder to meet at The Bird in Hand at 10:30am for a convoy run via Marlow High Street or at Hambleden Sports ground from 12pm. Click here for a map. Neil Hatton will be organising events for the day. Further details available on the website Unfortunately can't make this one myself Pictures here of last years event Quote
adhawkins Posted May 9, 2004 Author Posted May 9, 2004 So, who went then? Was it a good day? I fully intended going, but over-indulged a little last night, so was a little fragile this morning Weather was good over here in Swindon, hope it stayed fine for you over there. Andy Quote
Sparky Pups Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 I intended to go but got stuck in the office all day Quote
MikeB Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 So, who went then? Was it a good day? The words under and whelming come to mind. I think the grand total of Westfields and “others” was about twelve all day. The Bird in Hand convoy to the show was zero Westfields and the weather was so crap earlier that I have to admit to going to the ground as a last minute straggler only to find a huge Morgan contingent IN OUR PLACE!!!!! The show was pretty small compared with last year but that’s what the weather can do to ruin things I guess. Quote
Camel_Landy Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 The Bird in Hand convoy to the show was zero Westfields Ahem.... [Cough!] At last count we had 4 Westies & 1 Carerham.... We let the Morgans go off first as they needed a head start. Mark. Quote
MikeB Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 Ahem.... [Cough!] Must have read Neil's email the wrong way. Anybody tuning up in that weather deserves a gold star! Quote
worzel Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 Anybody tuning up in that weather deserves a gold star! I went without roof or screens. Luckily, the weather held up, the grass wasn't muddy, and at one point there was even some sun I proudly accept my gold star (medal medal medal) Steve Quote
Blatman Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 Anybody tuning up in that weather deserves a gold star! I turned up at Stoneleigh in worse weather. I figured one dousing a week is enough....... Quote
