Ferg Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Hi All I am based in Peterborough and just bought a 2019 FW special edition and looking for local enthusiasts. Hoping to see if there is a meet in the Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire or Northamptonshire areas. Also wondering if there are any Westfield specialist garages for servicing and (hopefully not repairs) but I am sure there will be. I certainly fit into the category of being able to just about rustle enough time to clean and drive but not a lot else, hence why I bought as new as possible. Any suggestions of servicing specialist would be great. Looking forward to the journey ahead! All the best 4 Quote

Hi Stuart I have the 2.0L Ford Zetec engine (170), I am sure I will be doing some bits on it but probably not on the engine side so much! Even so I have covered about 250 miles in the last couple of days and absolutely love it! Best regards Quote

Bellboy Hi Would love to hook up, just finding my way around this website so I will have a look for the group and follow. I think you cant go wrong with the weather and temperature at the moment so a good blast would be rude not to! Enjoy Best regards Quote

Steve20 Posted June 20 Posted June 20 After 20+ years of Westfield ownership I finally sold mine last year, whilst I built it, modified and maintained it I did use these guys in Oundle to cary out some engine work (I simply didn’t have the time to spare) on my 2.0 Zetec. Top quality from a small team of real petrol heads who cared! Speak with Trev, top man! https://www.qprep.co.uk/ 1 Quote
AndrewBClarke Posted June 20 Posted June 20 Welcome. Ant’s car has resurfaced!! You’ve now joined the best club 😀. I’m in central Lincolnshire which I know is a stretch from Peterborough but welcome to pop up here or join in on trips out. I normally travel to the Peak District as it has been an active group for quite a while and I’ve made life long friends. Off on Sunday on the WSCC lakes and dales trip. As far as servicing etc, I’ve found a good mechanic at Finneys. Just at the end of Coningsby runway. He has made several 7 style cars and knows his stuff. Engine tuning I would recommend AP Racing Engines. General mechanics could be done at GBS in Retford. I’m sure the more local members from the Norfolk group have now found suitable places. Either way, enjoy your ownership and above all get out in it - don’t just park it in a garage!! 2 Quote

si_salisbury Posted Wednesday at 20:21 Posted Wednesday at 20:21 Hi I’m based in Stamford, happy to go for a drive, I go to a couple of cars and coffee events around the area as well as a drive at random. like @AndrewBClarke had already has highlighted the peak district meet is great day out, I do attend at least one or two a year, and meet with Andrew on route (depending on meeting point). happy to go for a local drive or if people around the area are interested to do a group meet drive. 1 Quote
