Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted Sunday at 06:59 Posted Sunday at 06:59 Sorry, not very well this morning, going to have to give this one a miss. Quote
Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO Posted Sunday at 19:18 Posted Sunday at 19:18 Thanks to @AndrewBClarke for arrange some great roads for us. Thanks also for all who turned up for the usual great company. I met @Tony H in his lovely red Mev, just a few miles from home for a nice cool morning air run to the start at McD. We were greated by @Jakejmagee and some newly aquired biker friends of his. A few pics from me. 7 Quote

aeg Posted Sunday at 20:36 Posted Sunday at 20:36 Thank you @AndrewBClarke for taking us out today while @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative is off enjoying herself . Today we discovered we don’t own a Westfield but a time travelling vehicle 🤔 after a few years in the re-making @Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO is back in the fold 😎 great to see you both with smiles on your faces ,and we’re back to having a buddy to drive up to the peaks with. See you all soon Andy & Becky up Wynats pass it wasn’t too busy the back roads ( somewhere! ) the red car back on the road 8 Quote
AndrewBClarke Posted yesterday at 07:35 Author Posted yesterday at 07:35 I didn’t really know how many were going to turn up when this was arranged as there were other events going on this weekend. To arrive at the starting point to see 9 cars was indeed uplifting. 7 Westfields, a Tiger and a MEV. Special mention has to go to @Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO who surprised us all by turning up in his fully rebuilt Westfield - first trip out since getting it back on the road. Brilliant. We left in convoy and drove an interesting route to The Ramblers in Edale via the beautiful Winnates Pass. At one point we literally had to wait for the pot hole crew to fix the road in front of us which gave the ‘locals’ the opportunity to leave the convoy to get to the pub first. At The Ramblers, we were joined by Chris Emms and Mo. After a hearty dinner the remaining 5 intrepid explorers carried on to Baslow Cricket Club Cafe for cake before all going our separate ways. Fantastic day out. Weather was exceptional for time of year and a great bunch of people. For me, living soooo far away, it was nearly 6hrs of driving leaving home at 8am. Covered well over 200 miles. Home at 6pm knackered but happy. Till next time…. Credits for photos to @Jakejmagee who accepted my request to be the day’s official photographer. Well done. 😁 7 Quote

Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO Posted yesterday at 09:11 Posted yesterday at 09:11 A fantastic first trip out, thanks for organising it Andrew! Great to be out with everyone again. My car went well, nothing fell off, though we did do some detours and have to avoid crazy drivers. I am also a 'bit knackered' too! Left home at 8am, returned at 9.30pm after 258 miles. Not bad for a first shake down run. 4 Quote
