Is This Right For A new Post?

Earlier today I made a new post in Stuff and Nonsense titled  A Sexy Incident on the 1980  Himalayan Rally.

I can find it in that location but it does not appear in Unread Content.

Is this right?

My assumption has always been that your own posts don't appear there as you've already read them.
