Exhaust fitting

Hi

Can anybody post pictures of their Wunoff exhaust fitting.

Do you use the two hoops supplied or just the one at the rear?

Also is the rubber support best in tension or compression.  Or are two rubber supports used, front and rear of the silencer?

What kind of support is used for the front support?

Thanks a lot

Dave Roberts

Thanks

I used just the rear mounting strap with the mounting rubber in compresion.

Seems to be ok... but I'll road test it for the first time on friday... :D

Just bear in mind that the exhaust system will expand a surprising amount when it heats up.  If mounted too rigidly, you'll eventually break something :p

Using just the normal mount for my 6" Wunoff since Spring 2003 plus Mikalor clamps on the forward joins.

Will post pictures once I work out how this damn new fangled digicam works :sheep:  :D

  • 2 weeks later...

hi,

Ive also got myself a wunoff silencer to replace an empty westfield one that has been welded together a couple of times, has anyone used the front mount?  the weight of it worries me on the single mount.

Until finding this I intended to mount on bobins front and rear so the can could expand cutting the body for the front mount to be bolted to the chassis

any pics would be a great help

many thanks

Ian
