that was @Pistol Pete no carbon but just a sensibly built car for road and sprints.

Thanks Mark. Fairly sure mine is in the same ball park so the weight is probably about right, give or take.

Having engaged my brain this morning….. this was located at a place called Paull’s in Martock and they were using it to sell aggregates of various sorts being loaded onto trailers and trucks, so I suspect it is kept fairly accurate for that.

I visited my local weighbridge and got the car weighed, but was advised that it was only accurate to the nearest 20kg. I guess if you've many tonnes of waste-laden lorry that's all the resolution required

I'd prefer a better resolution personally, as 40kg potential range is a significant percentage on a eg 600kg car. If I want to know then I really want to know, if you see what I mean.

Then again, what am I going to do with that information beyond say "huh, that's interesting"? Probably not much at this stage, as I'm not targeting weight reduction or tracking weight for a specific purpose such as competition. Also don't currently have deep enough pockets to play that game either!

I’m wondering if the club could rent some proper scales for Malvern next year, and charge owners £10 per weigh with the proceeds going to charity.

 I used them for corner weight with me in drives seat but from memory the weighbridge was fairly accurate.

I'm still astounded by @Terry Everall's recently sold car being advertised as just a shade over 400kg. Remarkable!
