Peak District Run Out, Sun 18th Aug, 10am Whitworth Centre at Darley Dale

Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative

Recommended Posts

Meet at The Whitworth Centre cafe, Darley Dale, DE4 2EQ at 10am for breakfast. We will take a run out and will possibly go to The Cow Shed for lunch, depending on how the route works out.

This is weather dependant, it's looking ok at the moment but it is only Monday!

Hoping Glynn has got at least 1 seat replaced in his car, we promise not to run off with one this weekend😄

Who is coming?

Evening all, I’m new to the group and I have an MK Indy, would love to come along if that’s ok. I’m from penistone in sheffield if anyone is local. Thanks. Dan

Welcome @Dan1501 you and your MK Indy will be more than welcome at the Peak run. @Jakejmagee isn't far from you, if I recall correctly. He's got a Tiger!

Brill Thankyou. Hopefully I can meet some new people

The two regulars from your direction are @Jakejmagee and @Chris Emm but Jake is working this weekend and Chris is swanning about in France.
But you will definitely meet some of us in the Peaks!!

Here is the route for tomorrow, please put it in your satnav.

START Terrace Cafe, Whitworth Centre, DE4 2EQ

A6 through Bakewell, taking the A6 Buxton out of Bakewell, turning LEFT passing Sheldon, Cock and Pullet (don't laugh!) DE45 1QS

To Chelmorton and turn RIGHT onto A5270

Head for Millers Dale Car Park SK17 8SN

Keep going to Wormhill, then Peak Forest, right at the lights, past Devonshire Arms, SK17 8EJ

Down the A623 to the big Tideswell crossroads, turn RIGHT to the finish point

BENTONVILLE FARM SHOP, THE COW SHED CAFE, SK17 8SS

There will be slight deviations to make travel easier i.e I will miss Tideswell and go down to Litton because it's a bit tight getting through, but you won't be far away if you follow this.

Weather is great, looking forward to it, tip - arrive hungry at the cow shed, the portions are farmer sized.
