Basically if you look, all the symbols that lie on the 9x table are the ones that match. Just some clever use of maths, and the interesting properties of the number 9. ALL the multiples of 9 have the same symbol, hence it doesn't matter which one you are looking at, it will match the symbol in the crystal ball.
