The black car with the tilted bonnet looks like a Sylva J15. Is that right

Thanks, a Dax Kamala, every day is a school day. It belongs to Paul Cowland apparently.

@Ansoeb J15, hopefully someone will come along and teach us a little bit more, like what defines the J15, more popcorn please:popcorn:

The J15 was the last car designed by Jeremy Phillips owner of Sylva cars. It was on the market about 12 years ago for a short period. He was a prolific designer of kit cars from the early eighties which include the Star, Leader, Striker, Phoenix, Fury, Stylus, Jester, Mojo, Riot and most recently the J15. These cars are produced by a variety of manufacturers. The Fury is still in production with Fisher cars. I believe he was more focused on the engineering side of the process and often sold the rights on so he could progress the next project.

The J15 was based on a SDV build from an Rover MGF but there are a few around that have utilised the Ford Puma 1.7 engine. The engine is at the rear with a tilting clamshell for access. The styling was a nod back to 50s and 60s race cars.  There are not many of these around. There is one currently for sale on car and classic bit I can't seem to paste the link. 014 Kit Car Sylva J15Screenshot_20240721-065425.thumb.png.352152e7c2d8937a93cc2a9099f860ae.png
