gerry
I am thinking of having an exhaust system built in SS by JP Exhausts in Macclesfield. Has anyone else out there had a similar system built (particularly for a Zetec engine) recently? I would like to know how good it looks and performs and what it sounds like (dont know what size silencer to go for). I would be pleased to hear from anyone in the Cheshire area who has a similar system - especially if I can hear your car running.
Mike H
My good mate Barry Ashcroft had his V8 underslung system built by them and it's the dogs! There's a photo of it on JP's website somewhere. My V8 engine is currently in at 'Headshop' a racing engine specialist in Warrington to get it CC'd - they do a lot of work on formula ford/zetec race cars and get manifolds made for them by JP. JP are the only place in the NW that Headshop would recommend. cheers Mike
Graham
Yes, very good. Used them twice (both V8's but that's not really relevent). They built the headers to spec from the engine builder where everybody else just said it woudln't fit. Relatively speaking, very reasonably as well. For me it was worth the 200 mile trip each way rather than using another well known stainless exhaust manufacturer about 5 miles from my house. First system was built on the car, second was built from jigs and posted - fitted perfectly first time which is no mean feat when you consider the clearances with a V8! Noise - I said what I wanted and he did it, nice deep burbling V8 note but low Db to save aggro. Graham.
