Transporting Car from England to Northern Ireland

No I don’t think so. Northern Ireland is still classed as part of the UK. Different story if I was from Republic of Ireland.

Might be worth contacting Will Corry at Corry Motorsport/Corry Classics at Ballynahinch as he is often transporting cars the other way including to compete in MG Midget racing: https://www.facebook.com/CorryMotorsport/about?locale=en_GB

 

The other thing is this weekend (Sat 4th May 2024) is the opening round of the British Hillclimb Championship at Craigantlet: https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=854232343390408&set=a.451558800324433&locale=en_GB Apart from a fun day out might be worth asking around the paddock on any advice/leads on transport to Northern Ireland.

 

One possible saving might be to get the car transported to either of the two ferry routes from Cairnryan in SW Scotland, meet them there and then drive it on and drive it home, having come over as a foot passenger.

 

There are often regular HGV multiple car transporters on these ferries going to NI so might be worth googling to see there are regular runs that would take a single car as part of a larger consignment perhaps from a central pick up point. Don't ask me how to do this but I'd try and find someone from NI trailering a car to England and coming back empty. I'm sure they'd do a cheap deal being as anything is better than coming back empty.

Just seen this post - I run a trailered transport business and £950 - £1000 isn’t far off due to ferry and will be an overnight stay due to tachometer (if they run compliant) and make sure they’re compliant!! And have the correct insurances in place!

Very fortunately a member who lives close to me saw this post and ended up selling me his Westfield!
