SteveC
Just had a mail from the organiser of Boscombe sprint event, see below; .............................................................................. Dear Colleague TR Register Boscombe Sprint 2004. It is with great disappointment and frustration we must advise you that, despite extensive efforts, we have been unable to reach agreement with Qinetic, the site management organisation for Boscombe Down and that, as a result, the Boscombe Sprint will not be run this year. We will continue our efforts to secure the venue for future years or, if this is not possible, to seek an alternative location. Club organisers will be advised accordingly in time for planning for the 2005 season. Iain Burrup Entries Secretary On behalf of the Organising Commitee ....................................................................... real shame as i think its one of the better events on the calender. Mark Stanton
A replacement has been found (although not same date) and all SS drivers will be notified
adhawkins
Can you tell the rest of us? If it's 'darn sarf' I might be interested in attending as a spectator if it's not one of these hush-hush military bases... Andy
Mark Stanton
Depends on where this southern line is drawn Why do folks back out of driving much more than 100 mile to various events Tis great fun get out there and drive oh its............ Hethel on August
windy
oh its............ Hethel on August 1 Great track, good surface, & fast if you have the b***s. Competing with all the top ride & handling bods there also makes it worthwhile. Good burger van too! Lotus test track plan
Blatman
Just entered for Loton on the same day..........

conibear
Boscombe Down in Wiltshire replaced with Hethel in Norfolk, that's at a guess 230+ miles difference
Al Yupright
Indeed! Takes me 15mins to get to Boscombe. 6hours to get to Hethel!! I think the only SS event south of the M4 is Wiscombe innit?
adhawkins
Is Llandow North or South of the M4? Not far away from it anyway. (picky mode). Andy
DickieB
Llandow is south of the M4, but west of the River Severn so it doesn't count.
Al Yupright
Is Llandow North or South of the M4? Not far away from it anyway. (picky mode). Andy About 5minutes after posting that, I realised that Llandow is technically south of the M4, although try getting to it without going on the M4! Llandow is ok, nice track and <3hours from me. Theres Goodwood too, but the noise limit is a bit mental.

Al Yupright
Indeed, I was just expressing disappointment at one of the few 'south' events disappearing off the calendar. The Speed Series caters very nicely for People who live in the Midlands or up North, so it'd be nice to replace Boscombe with a similarly southern event. Anything at Gurston Down?
