OB1
Try Europa Spares (or even your local Caravan / Trailer stockist) - you still need proof of ID and ownership and I'm not totally convinced some jobsworth in Blue will not pull you over for a discussion on it's legality !!! (even if it is)
Mark Purves
I read somwhere on the DLVA site that no stick on plates were legal. Also local MOT tester said he would fail them as not on flat forwarding facing surface. However he would pass small plate under grill as long as it could be read from correct distance. This is at the point that MOT and Plod agree to disagree.
DENNISTHEMENACE
I read somwhere on the DLVA site that no stick on plates were legal They are illegal as they do not conform to the "required rigidity" of a perspex plate, however numerous caravan dealers are still selling them illegally and without the required recording of the sale as they will say they are selling a quantity of adhesive letters and a yellow background. What the buyer does with them thereafter is not their responsibility. The manufactuer of these plates/digits also sells a rigid backing to make the plate conform to the spec, but, nobody buys them

felters
I bought some for mine recently. There are loads of web sites selling them - although I had to sign to confirm that the number plates are for show use only...
