Ragtop
I am sure I have read this on a previous topic but I cant find anything on the search engine What's the best method of cleaning a second-hand pair of Weber/Dellorto carbs Externally for max visual effect ali/brass
stu999
Just clean them up the best you can with cellulose thinners. Carb bodies dont really polish up that well I'm afraid....
neilwillis
I believe Halfrauds sell an ally cleaning solution. How good or bad it is I wouldn't know, but it is apparently acid based.
Blatman
Sounds like Wonder Wheels. It's an alloy wheel cleaner that's acid based. Might work......
Thrustyjust
I've bought before some STP carb cleaner, got rid of all the gunk and smelt good too!!!.As Stu says, they don't polish up that well, unless you have time on your hands and a dremel type kit,but then you'll always have to do it rather than drive it.
