Windscreen SeiW

Hi

Hope you can help !

Removed the complete windscreen to fit press studs for a tonnoue .

Thought it would go back in the correct place, but just noticed that the holes drilled in the body to take the support pillars are elongated.

I know , I should have marked it before removal.

Is there a standard measurement for the distance from some reference point on the chassis ?

(I also have a hood fitted so has to be in the right place)  :(

No not really, it depends who fitted the hood.

I would fit the windscreen and pillars (but not fully tighten the bolts securing the pillars to the scuttle. Leave the side screens off at this stage.

Fit the hood to all the press studs on the rear bodywork and the screen, move the pillars to tension the hood (not too tight as the vinyl will contract when it gets cold and possibly crack the screen) and tighten the bolts when you're happy with it.

Richard.

Build manual dimensions are 1008mm, fixed R/W Arch or 1012mm,  detachable R/W Arch measured from top inside face of windscreen to chassis cross member behind seats.

Thanks for the advice

Looks fairly critical measurement !

I think it might be best to set it up then offer the hood up and maybe then have to re adjust.

I dont know for sure how exact the build was.

Robin

Is that measuring from the glass or from the Ally frame
