ForesterMo Posted April 3, 2024 Posted April 3, 2024 Hello everyone 👋 After some advice on insuring my MK Indy R. I recently received a letter from Footman James saying can't offer me cover for next year.  I have called around to Adrian Flux, Howden, Brentacre, Green Light, and Lancaster, with none of them wanting to insure me as I keep the car in my apartment buildings underground carpark. Any ideas to get the car insure would be really appreciated. Quote
AndrewBClarke Posted April 3, 2024 Posted April 3, 2024 I am insured through A Plan Thatcham based on storing the car on my drive. I actually keep it in an open fronted garage but this was not one of their options so we went for a less secure location to make sure it was insured. 2 Quote
stephenh Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 A-Plan is the same as Howden! But make sure you ring/email the Thatcham branch because that is where they have their specialist department to deal with kitcars and other specialist vehicles. Other branches won't have a clue what an MK is!! 2 Quote

Is renting a garage nearby an option?  1 Quote
ForesterMo Posted April 4, 2024 Author Posted April 4, 2024 Thanks gents! They basically said unless it's garaged in Birmingham it's not possible. Will have a look for a garage and try another quote I guess 1 Quote
