Trek Mountain Bike.

About 3 years ago I had a bit of bonus available and treated myself to a top of the range Trek 7000 mountain bike all £800 of it.

I had this idea that I was going to become this mountain bike fitness god (tight lycra shorts, Oakly shades and a well formed six pack) charging down hills at 70mph and back up the other side without braking into a sweat.

The reality was that I smashed my right ankle into a million bits when I tripped over whilst motorcycle instructing, the nearest I ever get to a six pack is the type resides in the fridge for an hour to chill it before I sling it down my neck.

I've ridden this bike twice.

I'm fed up with moving it around when ever I need to get to stuff in the garage and it really has to go.

It's got s**t loads if hi tech stuff on it (appart from the rider who is as low tech as you can get) including Pace carbon fiber suspension forks (bump and rebound adjustable no less) ali frame, 21 speed Shimano gears, Avid breaks, trick rims ect ect ect and is in near new condition (appart from a bit of dust which I'll clean off FOC)

So, (in the spirit of Ebay) I'd like to start the bidding at £200

The auction will finish Monday night at 10pm.

post your bid below.

I'll post the complete spec tomorrow when I've looked it out.

It comes with all the manuals quick, release pedals (spuds?) and size 8 riding shoes (used once) and origional reciept.

Happy bidding.

(BTW It's metalic orange/gold will post pic tomorrow)

In the true spirit of ebay, why don't you put it on ebay?  OK you'll have to pay commission but you'll have a waaaaayyy bigger audience, full of people who are looking to buy said bike.  ???

I really can't be  :arse: to put it on Ebay Mrs W, I'd rather it went to somebody on here 'cause you're all such nice people   :p  and I thought it'd be a bit of fun.

Once I've had a spot of tea I'll post up the spec and a pic (just got in from work  )

niccccccccce.... althought it looks like more fun could be had with the cars behind...

are you bringing them to the next meet... :D

Posted

You really need a big wide open space to run the cars, they are a lot of fun and less physical to play with than the bike.

The Corolla bodied on will hit about 50MPH (actual speed) the Alfa bodied one is a bit slower, you tend to bring home a lot of bits when it all goes wrong..........

I don't know what it weighs but it's not a lot JohnyBoy, I tried to weigh it on my bathroom scales but they start at 20kgs so not much luck there.

That was rather a large jump Darren    :xmas: !!!!!!!!
