timd Posted March 14, 2004 Share Posted March 14, 2004 I think they only launched it at the Autosport show so there won't be many of them around yet I shouldn't think. IMO it's a bit of a wase of time. There were too many negative points to it compared to the full "proper" Caged one (Caged make the bolt on thing for westfield hence the comparison). Mainly the weight penalty of still having the CDS rear hoop, the complete lack of fixings for the side intrusion bars, the fact that the standard rear bar (and hence complete cage in this instance) may well be too low for lots of people, and that the bolt-on thing can never be homologated properly (so i'm told, the westy bar should fail scrutineering due to too tight bend radii anyway). So all that, and with the bulk deal that Harv was/is organising for the proper one, it'd make more sense to go that route I'd have thought?
