Yorkshire meetings, 2024.

[Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO]

The Yorkshire area have 2 regular meetings each month, they are held on the first Tuesday of the month at the Buffers, Rakehill Road, Scholes, LS15 4AL from 7:30ish and a breakfast meeting on the 3rd Sunday at the Darrington Hotel, Darrington, Pontefract, WF8 3BL. 

As a reminder here are the dates for this year;

 

Tuesday evening meeting;

February 6th, 

March 5th, 

April 2nd, 

May 7th, 

June 4th, 

July 2nd, 

August 6th, 

September 3rd,

October 2nd, 

November 5th, (this might change if the pub has a bonfire.)

December 3rd.

 

Breakfast meetings are;

January 21st, 

February 18th, 

March 17th, 

April 21st, 

May 19th, 

June 16th, 

July 21st, 

August 18th, 

September 15th, 

October 20th, 

November 17th 

December 15th. 

 

There's also the two kit car shows, Malvern, 1st-2nd June and Newark, 21st-22nd September. 

 

The Silverstone Festival is on 23rd-25th August. 

 

There will also be regular runs out, when the weather improves! and some shows to attend. 

Details for these will be posted on the forum as and when information comes.

Sorry about the short notice, but I'll be going over to the Motorist this morning, the sun is shining at the moment. 

If anyone is coming, I'll be at Rothwell Sports Centre LS26 8EL at 10:30, then at The Old George, Garforth, LS25 1NB at 10:45. Motorist for 11:30.

That was eventful. 

Heading home from the Motorist, I lost all power. Going downhill engine stopped, managed to get the car off the road at possibly one of the worst junctions in Leeds (Bullerthorp Lane, if you know it). AA called and were there in an hour and half. Checked everything, found the distributor cap loose. Clipped back on and car started. New cap, leads and rotor arm recommended. Car home and tucked up in the garage.
