Norfolk drive-out - June 17th

Our next event is now fixed for June 17th which will include a private visit to AS Motorsport in Bressingham which builds amazing Aston Martin DBR1 replicas - a steal at circa £200,000+! The day will finish nearby at my gaff for tea and cake.

I already have a few names on my list and hopefully a few more will join us. Further details of the meeting point and time will follow once I have decided on a route, but it will not be early so that out of area members don't have to leave home at crack of sparrow.

I've recently joined the WSCC as I intend to get myself a Westfield very soon (I've been saying this for about 5 years). I'd like to meet up and have a look at members cars at a local meet and hopefully get some ideas on what car I should be looking for.

 

Is this possible and what is the best way to communicate with you? Via the club website is fine but a bit tedious.

 

I'd love to whet my appetite even further to finally get the motivation to take the leap. I've got a garaging problem at the moment but hopefully I'll be able to overcome that issue soon.

Morning @Baz456 - Norfolk AO  it’s a yes from me!!  Once you have posted a meeting point, I’ll work out a route and offer stopping points to collect others. I believe another Lincolnshire member @Phippsyis planning to come but I’ll let him confirm separately.

CONVOY FROM LINCOLNSHIRE - Draft plan

 

Leave home LN10 5EX - 8.20am

Arrive A16/A17 services 9am for McD breakfast and their excuse for a coffee (meeting up with @Phippsy)

Leave services 9.50am

Travel via A17 - A47 - A10 south of Kings Lynn

Should mean - West Winch @10.30am, Setchey @10.32am,

Tottenhill Junction with A134 @10.34am, Stradsett @10.40am, Wereham @10.47am, Wittington @10.53am, Cranwich @10.58am and Browns Cafe Mundford IP26 5EH @11am for a second breakfast and meeting with the others and onward journey to Old Buckenham Airfield for lunch and then to A S Motorsport in Bressingham

 

Apart from stopping at A16/A17 services, no other current plans to pause to add anyone to convoy. If anyone wants to tag on, please do - you will probably hear us coming! If you would like us to stop somewhere to join, please drop me a note and I'll revise the timings to accommodate anyone.

@AndrewBClarke I'm not sure I can buy into the accuracy of your plan, I normally have a Navigator for that.

Hi Andrew. We can meet at the A17 bp  services long sutton

PE12 9AG. I believe its a roundabout on your planned route.

 

Just an approx time you would be there so we can convoy.
